My Story

I started Blaque Box Boutique with the goal of making a profit. At first, it was just about selling high-quality wigs. But I realized that wasn’t enough to truly motivate me. I needed a deeper reason—something my heart could connect with.

For months, I struggled to figure this out. My prices were set too high, and honestly, I had no driving force to launch this brand—other than being grateful for the opportunity to access these top-tier wigs. 

The first thing I did was lower the prices, despite my mentor’s advice to the contrary. The second thing I did was take a long walk in nature, free from distractions and opinions of others clouding my thoughts. It was during that walk that the clarity I needed finally came to me. 

There's an unforgettable scene from My Sister's Keeper that stays with me. A teenage girl, weakened by endless treatments, gets a chance to attend a hospital prom. The moment she steps out in her beautiful gown and perfectly styled wig, she becomes luminous—absolutely radiant. Her father struggled to contain his emotions while her mother obsessively photographs the split moment. This is the kind of magical moment that I aspire to create.

So a few of my friends and I will be visiting cancer centers that accept wig donations for patients undergoing chemotherapy. Our goal is to give them a full makeover—not just for their appearance, but to remind them they are seen, loved, and valued. We want their families to witness their strength, their beauty, and their spirit shining, even in the midst of their struggles. This is our way of offering the purest form of love—something to uplift their souls, renew their hope, and remind them they are not alone in this fight.

My why gave me the motivation to finally go public and watch Blaque Box Boutique grow. It’s about supporting women who need to feel cared for and seen, especially during challenging times.
